That realization is what led to the creation of The Wonder Workshop Learning Collective.
We believe children need:
- uninterrupted time to explore ideas
- meaningful social connections
- space to engage in imaginative and physical play
- opportunities to revisit projects and conversations over multiple days
The Wonder Workshop is a child-directed learning environment inspired by play-based research and unschooling principles. Children explore in thoughtfully prepared spaces designed to invite curiosity, creativity, and deep focus.
There is no fixed daily lesson plan. Instead, learning unfolds through play, inquiry, conversation, and hands-on exploration. Children are free to engage with invitations or follow their own interests, while the guide observes, supports problem-solving, and protects time for deep work.
This model allows children to build:
- confidence and independence
- social understanding and collaboration
- strong foundations in reading, writing, math, and thinking
- a healthy, joyful relationship with learning
